Bone Health

Keeping your bones healthy is essential for warding off osteoporosis and other bone disorders. Studies have shown that diets rich in Omega-3s from fish oil (DHA and EPA, which also naturally result in a lowered ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fats) reduce bone loss. Vitamin K is great for bone health, specifically K2. K2 is the form in which Vitamin K has been found to protect against arterial calcification and oxidation. Aging adult bone mass peaks around age 30. It is very important to build good bone mass and maintain it. Taking Calcium, Vitamin C or Strontium supplements are also all great to consider.
